WPT - More Information

The WizardBlue Windows Power Tools programs are utilities designed to provide system administrators, network administrators, Help Desk staff and general IT support staff with a concise set of tools for querying and managing their network environments.  This software is currently under development and is subject to regular updates.  Please visit here regularly or use the 'Check for Update' in the help menu to check for the latest version.

The following features are available at the moment:

• List and stop processes at local or at remote systems using current credentials via WMI;
• List and control services at local or at remote systems using current credentials via WMI;
• List and edit user accounts using current or specified credentials via ADSI - now FULLY FUNCTIONAL;
• List user groups using current or specified credentials via ADSI - Partial;
• List computers using current or specified credentials via ADSI - Only list;
• Single or continuous ICMP ping of systems;
• Send Network Message via Window Messenger Service;
• Shutdown/Reboot of a remote system;
• WMI Based Registry Editor - Browse now fully functional;

What is in the pipeline:

• Full group editing;
• Full computer account editing;
• A WMI based file explorer - overcomes security restrictions that maybe in place;
• RPC fetch of system details for users/groups/computers;
